At Delfast, we are always listening to our customers. Their feedback shapes the direction of our product development. Over 70% of our users are based in the United States, and it was their demand that led us to create the previous model, the Top 2.0. This powerful electric bike was designed for long-distance travel and off-road adventures, but even with its capabilities, it still had limitations.

The Top 2.0 is more of a light enduro bike than a traditional mountain bike, but that wasn't enough for our growing audience. Our customers live across all types of climates and terrains — from snowy mountains to desert dunes and coastal beaches. We needed a model that could handle these extreme conditions without sitting idle during the cold months.

This led us to develop the Delfast Offroad TOP 3.0, a fat bike built for real off-road performance. Fat bikes, also known as snow bikes or all-terrain bikes, are designed for loose surfaces like sand, snow, and ice. They can take you places where no car or footpath can reach. Whether you're riding on frozen lakes or sandy beaches, the Delfast Offroad excels in every environment.

Designing such a bike was no small task. The power and torque of the Top 2.0 platform were ten times greater than what an athlete could generate, meaning the bike endured much higher stress. Adding off-road capabilities made the challenge even harder. We had to consider suspension systems, tire pressure, and load distribution to ensure the bike was both durable and versatile.

One of our early design choices involved using a high-end Rockshox Bulto front fork. However, after testing, we found that standard rubber suspension performed just as well in most situations, while being more cost-effective and durable. That’s why we opted for reinforced rubber with a metal core, which handles heavy loads better than regular bike tires.

While the Delfast Offroad has slightly lower speed and range compared to the Top 2.0, its versatility and ability to handle rough terrain have improved dramatically. It's not just a bike — it's a vehicle for any weather and any landscape. With increased carrying capacity and unmatched off-road performance, the Delfast Offroad is perfect for adventurers who want to go beyond the pavement.
