Engine 94 was the first on scene, responding to a fire facing westbound and immediately laid two lines. Truck 53 was assigned to sector 1. Engine 7, as the second engine, pulled a hydrant at the northwest corner of Newport and Menard, then moved to the rear via the alley. Engine 68 approached from the east on Roscoe and also deployed a line. The Fire Alarm Operator received multiple calls about the gazebo on fire in the back. The fire quickly spread to the rear of the Chicago bungalow, through the attic, and into the exposure to the west. I arrived well after the fire had been fully extinguished.
