House fire in Shorewood, IL 7-30-24
This afternoon, Troy fire companies responded to a structure fire in the 1100 block of Harvest Drive. Upon arrival, first responders found a small fire that was confined to the kitchen and quickly extinguished within minutes. Auto-aid units from Minooka, Plainfield, Channahon, and Lockport arrived to assist with overhaul and ventilation of the home. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by Troy fire investigators. Jim Skrabel reports: Troy firefighters acted swiftly to contain a kitchen fire in the 1100 block of Harvest Drive. Thanks to their quick response, the situation was controlled before it could escalate.
