Thin oil lubrication device to solve high pressure centrifugal pump shaft bearing problem
With the prolonged operation of high-pressure centrifugal pumps and the aging of equipment, it's common for the bearings at both the front and rear of the pump to overheat and eventually burn out. To address this growing issue, the 208 Oil Production Team at Hekou Oil Production Plant implemented a thin oil lubrication system specifically for the high-pressure centrifugal pumps. This system ensures continuous and forced lubrication of the pump’s bearings, significantly improving their performance and longevity.
The device works by circulating the oil back and forth, increasing the flow rate and effectively lowering the bearing temperature. As a result, the problem of overheating and burning in the bearing bush has been largely resolved. With the installation of the thin oil lubrication system, the pumps have remained in excellent operating condition, reducing maintenance frequency and downtime.
This solution not only helps save on repair and replacement costs but also improves the overall availability and efficiency of the pumps. It’s a practical and cost-effective approach that has proven beneficial for the team, ensuring smoother operations and better reliability in the field.
