Public Company Information: NASDAQ: ADSK SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK), in collaboration with CGarchitect, a leading online magazine and community for design and visualization professionals, has announced the winners of the 2015 Autodesk Excellence in Infrastructure Competition. This annual event celebrates outstanding uses of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in civil infrastructure projects around the globe. Now in its fourth year, the competition recognized Arup as the first-place winner, Ramboll–Parsons Brinckerhoff Joint Venture as second, and HNTB as third for their innovative work on transit and bridge projects. Additionally, CivilE, LLC was honored with the Small Project Award, and Dawn Digital Pvt. Ltd. received the Visualization Award. Amar Hanspal, Senior Vice President at Autodesk, praised the winning entries, stating, “Each project showcases how BIM can be used to manage complex infrastructure challenges through advanced workflows and cross-disciplinary collaboration. For example, Arup’s work on the MTR Shatin to Central Link railway demonstrates how integrating GIS data, station designs, and existing structures can enhance planning and communication.” The competition, managed by CGarchitect and co-sponsored by Autodesk and HP, received over 40 submissions across various infrastructure sectors. A panel of industry experts evaluated entries based on complexity, technological innovation, sustainability, and the effective use of BIM throughout the project lifecycle. Winners will be celebrated at Autodesk University 2015 in Las Vegas this December. **First Place: Arup** Arup won for their work on the MTR Shatin to Central Link, a 17km railway expansion in Hong Kong. The project involved underground tunnels, new stations, and extensive coordination to address the dense urban environment. Timothy Suen, Arup Fellow and Director of Railway in East Asia, highlighted the value of BIM in managing complex underground construction and ensuring efficient decision-making. **Second Place: Ramboll – Parsons Brinckerhoff Joint Venture** This joint venture was recognized for their work on the Transport for London Hammersmith Flyover. Using laser scanning and BIM, they created precise models to guide the strengthening and repair of this aging structure, improving accuracy and collaboration among stakeholders. **Third Place: HNTB** HNTB was honored for their role in the Sixth Street Viaduct in Los Angeles, a groundbreaking bridge that required advanced seismic analysis and BIM integration to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. **Small Projects Award: CivilE, LLC** CivilE, LLC won for the Walnut Park Apartment development in Austin, Texas. Despite the site's challenging topography and environmental considerations, BIM helped streamline collaboration and improve design efficiency. **Visualization Award: Dawn Digital Pvt. Ltd.** Dawn Digital was recognized for their stunning visualization of the Godrej BKC office building in Mumbai, blending aesthetics with functional design to create an engaging visual narrative.
