I just got this update from Larry Shapiro. He mentioned that the Winnetka Fire Department officially put their brand-new Engine 28 into service last Tuesday, June 7th, 2016. It’s pretty exciting to see them upgrading their fleet. I’ve got a few photos here that show their new engine alongside some of their other vehicles. You can also see a side-by-side comparison with their older 2000 Pierce Saber, which is being placed in reserve. Interestingly, the 1996 Pierce Saber with the white roof is currently up for sale.
