Product Description:
Color masterbatch is a concentrated formulation containing high proportions of pigments, additives, and thermoplastic resins. It is designed to ensure excellent wetting, dispersion, and compatibility with the base material. A typical composition includes:
PP/PE/PET/PVC carrier + pigment + additives = color masterbatch
To produce this kind of color masterbatch, we use a specialized extruder known as the ATE Twin Screw Extruder. The ATE Series Co-rotating Parallel Twin Screw Extruder consists of a motor drive, torque distribution gearbox, processing section, temperature control units, die section, and downstream pelletizing system, among other components.

Introduction of ATE Twin Screw Extruder:
The ATE Twin Screw Extruder follows a modular design principle, allowing for standardized manufacturing and stable, reliable performance. Its modular structure enables highly customizable solutions based on customer requirements. Depending on the torque output, ATE series extruders are available in basic or efficiency types.
The process section includes barrels, screw shafts, screw elements, and individual heating and cooling units. Barrels and screw elements are designed using a block structure, which allows for flexible combination and sequence optimization to achieve the following processes:
Conveying – Plasticization – Compounding & Dispersion – Homogenization – Degassing – Pressure Building
The block structure also allows barrels to be adjusted freely to meet specific process requirements. Different barrel types are available based on the process position, such as feeding barrel, side feeding barrel, closed barrel, open-top barrel, and vacuum vent barrel. Barrel materials can be nitrided steel or bimetallic steel, depending on application needs.
Multiple cutting systems can be integrated with the ATE Twin Screw Extruder, including strands pelletizing, hot-face cutting, and under-water pelletizing. Both instrument control and PLC control are available for the electrical control system, with key components sourced from European brands to ensure stable and efficient performance.
