Product Description:
Color masterbatch is a concentrated formulation made by blending high proportions of additives, thermoplastic resins, and pigments or plastic colorants with good dispersion properties. It uses resins that have excellent wetting and dispersing effects and good compatibility with the material being colored. In simple terms, it can be described as: PP/PE/PET/PVC carrier + pigment + additives = color masterbatch.
To produce this type of color masterbatch, we typically use a specialized extruder known as the ATE Twin Screw Extruder. The ATE Series Co-rotating Parallel Twin Screw Extruder consists of motor drive, torque distribution gearbox, processing section, temperature control units, die section, and downstream pelletizing system, among other components.

Introduction of Parts of ATE Twin Screw Extruder:
The ATE Twin Screw Extruder follows a modular design principle and is manufactured with standardized components to ensure stable and reliable performance. This modularity allows for highly customizable solutions based on customer-specific process requirements. Depending on the output torque grade, ATE series extruders are available in basic and efficiency types.
The process section includes barrels, screw shafts, screw elements, and individual temperature heating and cooling units. Barrels and screw elements are designed using a block principle, which allows for optimized combination and sequence of screw elements to achieve the following process stages: conveying, plasticization, compounding and dispersion, homogenization, degassing, and pressure building.
Barrels can be customized based on the process position, such as feeding barrel, side feeding barrel, closed barrel, open-top barrel, vacuum vent barrel, etc. Barrel materials can be nitrided steel or bimetallic steel, depending on the application requirements.
Multiple cutting systems can be combined with the ATE Twin Screw Extruder, including strands pelletizing, hot-face cutting, and under-water pelletizing. Both instrument control and PLC control are available for the ATE electrical control system, with key electrical parts sourced from European brands to ensure stable and reliable performance.
