In the early 1990s, the company introduced the titanium dioxide production line and advanced foreign production technology and key equipment from the Yugoslav Ljubljana Mehmet Company, and built China's first annual production of 15,000 tons of sulfuric acid titanium dioxide. The factory, the main production equipment and large-scale precision analytical test instruments are imported from Germany, the United States, Finland and other eight countries. The whole production process is controlled by the Distributed Control System (DCS) introduced by Siemens AG.
In May 1993, it was put into production, and now it can produce 14 grades of titanium dioxide, such as A-101/A103 and R-215/R201, under the trademark “Tiohuaâ€. The current production of sharp iron type, and rutile titanium dioxide and other chemical categories, is widely used as additives in paints, plastics, paper, ink, synthetic fibers, rubber and other electronic components.
The second phase of the expansion project will be completed in 2005, when the capacity will reach 30,000 tons / year.
