Allison Brings New Gearbox and Control System to Brisbane Truck Show

The Allison TC10TM Series gearbox, designed for tractors and their heavy loads, is a two-axle, 10-speed gearbox combined with the latest electronic control systems. Allison's fifth-generation electronic control system provides better fuel efficiency and productivity for the entire truck product line. This control system is also on display at the Allison booth at the Brisbane Truck Show. Allison 2000 series, 3000 series and 4000 series transmissions.

Isuzu recently launched more truck models equipped with Allison transmissions in response to the Australian market's demand for efficient, fully-automated technology. Isuzu's newest product, the FYJ2000 8X4 medium truck, is equipped with a six-speed Allison 4430 series gearbox; the new models of the FVY1400 and 1400 long cement mixers developed for the cement industry are also equipped with a six-speed Allison 3500 series transmission. In order to meet the demanding conditions of off-highway markets, Isuzu also launched the FTS800 4X4 with the Allison 2500 Series transmission.

In addition, Fuso continues to expand its range of models equipped with Allison transmissions. The latest FS heavy truck is fitted with Allison Series 4000 transmissions, and its Fighter FK midsize truck is fitted with the Allison 2500 Series transmission.

North American OEMs have also brought in the Freightliner Columbia CL112 with the Allison 4500 Series Transmission and the West Star 4700 with the Allison 3500 Series Transmission.

Cavagnino concluded, "Operators and OEMs require trucks to have excellent performance and excellent efficiency under different operating conditions, so they have been designated to use Allison fully automatic transmissions.
