Acid Proof Pump′s Damper
DSHELL MATERIAL Customizable options available This product can be tailored to meet your specific needs. How to Choose the Right Volume: Pulsation Damper Volume = Stroke Volume (ml) × 15 1. Minimizes pulsations, vibrations, and water hammer for smooth system flow. 2. Protects pipes, meters, valves, and instrumentation from damage caused by pulsations and vibrations. 3. When used with a back pressure valve, it can reduce pressure fluctuations almost to zero. 4. Limits harmful pressure surges during pump start-up and shutdown. 5. Prevents foaming and splashing in liquid systems. 6. Enhances accuracy of readings from mass flow meters and other instruments. DESIGN FEATURES Where to Install a Pulsation Dampener? For optimal performance, install the dampener at the beginning of the pipe where flow must be forced, or when it acts as a suction-side acceleration head loss reducer. It should be placed after the suction supply line, at the entry to the pump inlet check valve. Generally, it’s best to install it as close to the source of pulsation as possible. 1. A PULSATION DAMPER
Â
Â
The device is typically divided into two sections by a flexible membrane—one filled with compressed nitrogen gas and the other allowing liquid to pass through. This design ensures easy maintenance and long-term stable operation.
APPLICATION
In metering systems, a constant flow is essential. A damper helps reduce flow fluctuations, ensuring accurate process control and mixing. In piping systems, pressure pulsations can cause vibrations that lead to fatigue and connection failures. Removing these pulsations reduces energy consumption over long distances.
