Zhonglian made the first deformable slipform paver off the assembly line
Changsha High-tech Zone recently announced that China's first modern equipment specifically designed for high-speed railway subgrade paving, the HTH60T sliding form cement concrete paver, has been successfully launched at Zhonglian Shigu Industrial Park. This groundbreaking machine marks a major milestone in the construction industry, as it aims to break the long-standing dominance of foreign brands in the slipform paver market.
The HTH60T is a highly advanced piece of machinery that integrates multiple functions, including fabricating, metering, vibrating, sliding die extrusion, leveling, and screeding. It can automatically and efficiently lay concrete on the roadbed, making it an essential tool for high-speed rail passenger line construction. Its modular design allows it to be converted into both a standard paver and a roadside paver, with a paving width of up to 6 meters, offering great flexibility for different construction needs.
In comparison to foreign counterparts, Zhonglian has introduced several innovative features. For the first time, the HTH60T incorporates automatic transmission technology using a force-transmitting rod, enabling non-contact remote control. The system supports wireless data transmission, global positioning display, real-time fault alerts, and remote diagnostics—features that are pioneering both in China and globally. Additionally, the company’s independently developed intermediate frequency generator and the L-shaped vibrating bar, capable of reaching a vibration frequency of 200Hz, fill a critical gap in domestic technology and challenge the previous technological monopoly by foreign manufacturers.
This new paver not only enhances construction efficiency but also demonstrates China’s growing capability in developing advanced infrastructure equipment.
