WACKER Introduces Redispersible Latex Decorative Mortar
Recently, the German company WACKER has launched an advanced exterior wall finishing system that combines VINNAPAS redispersible polymer powder with a new one-component decorative mortar. In addition, they introduced a novel type of non-visible basalt used for external insulation, along with a special self-leveling powder designed for large public buildings. These innovations were showcased at the 4th International Exhibition on Building Energy Efficiency and New Building Materials, which took place in Shanghai from August 19 to 22.
The new decorative mortar from WACKER is designed to mimic the appearance of tiles or natural stone, while offering performance comparable to traditional decorative mortars. It effectively addresses common issues such as cracking and water leakage on tile surfaces. Moreover, it eliminates the widespread problem of alkali efflorescence and cracking found in conventional mortars. The material also features self-cleaning properties, excellent breathability, and strong compatibility with external insulation systems. This makes it suitable not only for new construction but also for the renovation and enhancement of existing buildings.
According to reports, WACKER’s new decorative mortar, which minimizes alkali efflorescence, has already been successfully implemented in several projects. As the adoption of external insulation systems continues to grow, ensuring their long-term quality has become a key concern within the industry.
