Shaanxi Heavy Duty ranks among the top five truck manufacturers in China
Xi'an, Xinhuanet - February 28 (Reporter Mao Haifeng) After four decades of growth, Shaanxi Heavy Vehicle Co., Ltd. has delivered over 243,519 heavy vehicles to the public as of February 28, placing it among the top five truck manufacturers in China. The company, which was founded in 1968, started as a small "three-tier" enterprise with limited resources and struggled for years. By 1990, it was a loss-making firm with annual sales of just 100 million yuan. However, through strategic development and innovation, the company experienced remarkable growth.
By 2007, Shaanxi Heavy Industries & Construction Co., Ltd. had achieved total production and sales exceeding 10 billion yuan, maintaining the fastest growth rate in the national heavy truck industry for three consecutive years. Its products have now been exported to 36 countries and regions across Asia, Europe, the Americas, Oceania, and Africa. The company has established 15 foreign sales service networks and created 91 overseas distribution channels, with more than 11,000 vehicles shipped internationally.
Looking ahead, the company predicts that heavy truck sales will reach 80,000 units in 2008, and by 2010, its revenue is expected to hit 30 billion yuan. This rapid expansion positions Shaanxi Heavy Vehicle as a globally recognized commercial vehicle manufacturing hub.
