Michelin Real Tire Experience Center Launches New China Website

In February 2009, the Michelin China website () was completely redesigned. Based on an in-depth analysis of consumer demand, the Michelin China website aims to provide Michelin customers with a unique tire experience online sharing platform that provides Chinese consumers with professional tire information, powerful interactive tools and a perfect interactive experience.

Comprehensive tire knowledge

The website makes full use of web 2.0 technology to provide consumers with comprehensive tire knowledge, practical tools and tire professional advice. The website displays on the front page the basics of tires, when to change tires, how to select tires, find the nearest tire shop, information on tire safety maintenance, and so on, which can be described as true tire guidelines.

Powerful interactive tools

The Michelin China website provides many practical tools for tire consumers. "Tire Selection Tool" provides consumers with a dynamic database based on powerful models and tires. The "Distributor Locator" provides consumers with a variety of search methods for finding the nearest tire distributor. It also introduces maps and lists the dealer's service items. "Tire maintenance reminder tool" can be customized for each consumer's tire care reminder of his car, and sent to consumers via e-mail or SMS.

Perfect interactive experience

The Michelin China website strives to give consumers every mouse click to achieve a perfect interactive experience. For example, the “when to replace tires” content of the website is to present consumers with the required information in an interactive manner to help consumers make actions and decisions step by step. Other interactive experiences include tire classes, self-made electronic cards and games. The website also opened up a dedicated tire sharing area for Michelin tire users that can be shared with other consumers visiting the site.

As the Chinese auto market matures, Michelin wants to pass more professional tire knowledge to consumers and approach consumers through the interactive features of the website. The new Michelin China website will work with Michelin's products and services to better serve Chinese consumers.

The Laser is divided into continuous laser and pulse laser in operation. Pulsed Laser refers to a single laser pulse width less than 0.25 seconds, every interval of a certain time to work once the laser, it has a large output power, suitable for Laser Marking, cutting, ranging and so on. Common pulsed lasers include yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG) laser, ruby laser, neodymium glass laser, as well as nitrogen molecular laser, excimer laser and so on. Q-tuning and mode-locking are the two most commonly used techniques for obtaining pulsed lasers. The pulse width of pulse laser is usually less than ess than 0.25 seconds, which performs well in the field of laser marking, laser cutting and laser ranging.
