Recently, the project of “Investigation on Oil Spill Response System for Inland Waters†jointly undertaken by Guangdong Maritime Safety Administration and Wuhan University of Technology has passed the appraisal and examination of scientific and technological achievements of China Navigation Society.
It is reported that the research group of “Investigation on Oil Spill Response System of Inland Waters†has conducted detailed research on the types, models and equipped quantities of oil spill emergency equipment for inland rivers through several large-scale sink experiments, and drafted the standard for the provision of oil spill emergency equipment for inland waters. (Draft); proposed the system architecture of the oil spill emergency response system in China's domestic river waters, and studied the key technologies and related contents of oil spill emergency management, oil spill simulation prediction and three-dimensional simulation, emergency disposal technology and emergency equipment allocation, respectively Management suggestions and research results such as the construction of the inland river oil spill emergency human resources, the budget raising and management of the oil spill emergency funds in the inland waters, the oil spill emergency equipment management technology, and the oil spill emergency disposal technology.
At present, Guangdong Maritime Safety Administration has increased the construction of oil spill response capacity in Foshan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing, Huizhou and Heyuan, where oil spills are sensitive. In the past three years, it has held five training courses for emergency professionals free of charge. More than 400 people have established a professional oil spill response team.
