Bosch expects sales to exceed $67 billion in 2011
An executive from the Bosch Group recently stated at the Tokyo Motor Show that sales this year will exceed 50 billion euros (67 billion U.S. dollars). Bosch had sales of 47.3 billion euros ($63.4 billion) last year. Bosch has invested a total of 3.3 billion euros in the research and development of automotive technology this year. Bosch anticipates sales of more than 30 billion euros (40.2 billion U.S. dollars) in the automotive business this year. Last year, the automotive business had sales of 28.1 billion euros (37.7 billion U.S. dollars). Bosch expects the total number of its global employees to double to 300,000 this year, and the number of employees in the automotive business will increase by 10,000 to 177,000.
