Automobile consumption tends to increase markedly for high-end SUVs

The implementation of the New Deal of Beijing Yaohao has stimulated auto consumption to further advance toward high-end. According to statistics, from January to May this year, the Beijing auto market accumulated a total of 122,800 new vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 61%. The cumulative number of imported vehicles was 15,000, a year-on-year decrease of 33.4%. It can be seen that compared with the entire automobile market, imported car sales are less affected by the Yaohao policy.

In the first half of this year, the average monthly sales volume of imported cars in the capital city was about 3,000, accounting for 12% of the total sales of the new car market. Small displacement imported cars sell well

The reporter learned from the dealers that due to factors such as the promotion of national policies and rising oil prices, the supply of imported vehicles with medium and small displacements (below 3.0L) has continued to increase in the first half of this year, and sales have also steadily increased.

According to data from the China Automotive Import and Export Trading Company, the import volume of 3.0L or less displacement models increased by more than 70% year-on-year, and imported models below 3.0L accounted for about 80% of the imported vehicle market share. It is reported that the market mainstream luxury brands BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Infiniti and Lexus have introduced 2.0-2.5L displacement models on the basis of the original large-displacement models, and the prices have also been reduced to 300,000 yuan range. The reporter learned at the dealer’s office that the small and medium-displacement imported cars are adequate, but there is almost no concession because they do not sell them.

SUV import car price increase

In terms of models, with the pursuit of individuality by consumers, the sales of SUVs have grown rapidly. Imported cars are no exception. In the first half of this year, a number of imported SUVs were in short supply, and their prices have soared.

"According to statistical data, luxury SUV sales in the first half of 2011 accounted for 65% to 70% of the entire imported vehicle market. The market performance is that the range of SUV mark-up models has been further expanded and its market dominance has been consolidated." Yan Jinghui told reporters. Due to the enthusiasm of consumers, the phenomenon of increase in the price of imported SUV models has continued, and the amount of price increases is a few tens of thousands, and as many as several hundred thousand dollars.

The reporter visited the market and learned that a large number of imported SUV models need to increase their prices. Such as the Audi Q7 to increase 50,000 yuan, Mercedes-Benz ML350 increase 30,000 yuan, Lexus LX570 increase of 150,000 yuan ... ... many of the models of the amount of markup was increasing month by month. According to market sources, such a high rate of increase in imported SUVs has been rare in previous years.

However, according to industry analysts, as more imported new models landed on the Chinese market and Japanese brands imported cars gradually resumed supply, the phenomenon of fare increase in the imported car market in the second half of the year will gradually converge, and the performance is still worth looking forward to.
