General

The automatic back-flushing filter has been widely used by power plants, district heating systems, sewage treatment facilities, and manufacturing companies due to its efficiency and dependability.

Operation Principle

The fluid flows through the filter elements from the inside to the outside, where contaminants accumulate on the inner surface. As the contamination increases, the differential pressure between the clean and contaminated sides also rises.


Back-Flushing Process

1. A gear motor rotates the flushing arm beneath the filter elements, ensuring the removal of contaminants.
2. Contaminants are flushed out through the open back-flushing valve.
3. The pressure difference between the filtrate side and the back-flushing line pushes a small amount of filtrate back through the contaminated elements.
4. The flushing arm helps loosen and remove the collected particles into the back-flushing line.
5. Once the back-flushing time per element has passed, the valve closes, and the cycle continues until all elements are cleaned.


Backwash Trigger Conditions

- When the differential pressure exceeds a set threshold,
- Through an adjustable timer,
- By pressing the TEST button.

Installation



Vertical installation, foundation bolts fixed. Filters should not be considered as pipeline strength support. Pipeline diameter must be at least equal to the standard drain butterfly valve.
Supply compressed air: ensure air is clean, with pressure between 2bar and 8bar, air connection: G1, 4" ISO228
