Natural gas methane production ethylene process
Honeywell of the United States recently stated that it has developed a process for producing ethylene from natural gas methane. Honeywell said that the process has been confirmed in its laboratory and is expected to reach the market in a few years. At present, they have completed the proof-of-concept experimental work and obtained good yield and performance. The next step is to develop and amplify this technology. Calculated at current prices, the process will eventually save about 40% of the ethylene production cost.
